Hilton Lacks Experience, Quality Advisors

Third-party Presidential candidate Paris Hilton proposed a bold compromise on environmental and energy policy yesterday, but exposed limitations of her political experience and background research by arguing in favor of offshore drilling as an interim policy to bridge the gap between current and future energy technologies.

Ms. Hilton's advisors should have informed her that offshore drilling will take several years to yield substantial additional net energy, and thus is not suitable as a "bridge" to economic and technological developments that themselves are only a few years away. Between this and her lack of legislative, executive, or managerial experience, I must question her preparedness to serve as President of the United States.

One possibility for salvaging her campaign would be a counterbalancing choice of Vice President. Typically such a bold and visionary candidate is best offset by a conservative, experienced, and frankly unambitious VP with access to the party establishment; if it weren't for his history of spousal abuse and the imminent specter of Alzheimer's disease, Senator John McCain (R-AZ) would fit the bill perfectly. Absent the availability of someone with McCain's assets but without his liabilities, Ms. Hilton would be best advised to defer her candidacy for an election cycle or two, perhaps even until she is of legal age to serve if elected.

P.S. I will pay $10 to each person who successfully gets this person to open lastmeasure.com or one of the lesser shock sites; $1 for a rickroll.
